Assign tasks and work:

- Lead and generally direct all activities of the Department according to the functions and tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee; Responsible to the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ministry of Science and Technology for carrying out the functions, tasks and powers of the Director according to the provisions of law; Be a spokesperson for the Department and provide information to the press according to regulations;

- Directly direct and urge the implementation of directions of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Ministry of Science and Technology;

- Preside and direct the development of legal documents, strategies, planning, plans, programs, schemes, policy mechanisms, scientific and technological potential;

- Directly direct and monitor work areas:

+ Develop plans and programs for inspection, anti-corruption, resolve complaints and denunciations and receive citizens about science and technology;

+ Administrative reform - agency management; building electronic government and digital transformation. Organizational, staffing and emulation and commendation work of the Department;

+ Develop, allocate estimates and finalize budget; Finance, accounting and agency account management;

+ Scientific research and technology development management activities, projects to develop the potential of science and technology; research - deployment, testing activities; activities of collecting, registering, storing, and announcing tasks and results of science and technology tasks;

+ State management activities on technology; appraise and give opinions on technology for investment projects in the province;

+ Performing duties: Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council; Commander of the Military Police Department; Head of the Steering Committee for implementing the Department's Democratic Regulations.

- Responsible for publishing scientific and technological information publications and responsible for the Department's electronic information page;

- Carry out the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Provincial People's Committee as assigned by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. 

The focal point maintains regular contact with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee; maintain working relationships with superior Party agencies and the Department's Party Committee according to current regulations;

-Directly direct and monitor activities: Department of Science and Technology Management, Department of Planning and Finance, Department of Inspection and General Administration.

- Perform other tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee. Participate in Councils and Steering Committees as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee;

- In charge of monitoring science and technology activities of Song Cau town, Dong Hoa and Son Hoa district.

Assign tasks and work:
Help the Director direct and manage the agency's regular activities when the Director is absent or authorized. Help the Director direct, monitor, inspect and directly take charge of the following tasks: 
+ Administrative, general and legal work; Control administrative procedures; office records and archives; receiving documents and returning results according to the one-stop mechanism; foreign affairs and international cooperation;
+ Intellectual property activities, basic science and technology activities;
+ Application of radiation and radioactive isotopes, radiation and nuclear safety;
+ Standards, measurement, quality; science and technology information and communication work; development of science and technology information infrastructure; Connect and deploy projects of the digitalized Vietnamese Knowledge System locally; information technology application activities;
+ Directly direct and participate in the development of legal documents, strategies, planning, plans, programs, projects, and policy mechanisms
- Assigned field;
+ Performing tasks: Head of the Steering Committee for protecting state secrets; Leadership representative of the ISO quality management system at the Department; Politician of the Department's Command Post; Union president.
- Monitor, coordinate and maintain contact with organizations: Youth Union, Veterans Association and agencies.
- Participate in Councils and Steering Committees as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.
- Perform other tasks when assigned by the Department Director.
- Directly direct the activities of the Department of Standards - Measurement - Quality; Direct, monitor and inspect activities within the assigned scope, fields and tasks of the Department of Inspection - General Administration, Department of Science and Technology Management.
- Coordinate with departments, branches, branches, localities, organizations and individuals to perform tasks related to the field of responsibility.
- In charge of monitoring science and technology activities of Tuy Hoa city, Phu Hoa and Dong Xuan districts.
- Science & Technology statistical work; initiative activities;

- Performing duties: Head of the agency's Committee for the Advancement of Women;

- Participate in Councils and Steering Committees as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee;

- Perform other tasks when assigned by the Director;
